About
I am a scientist, writer, water resources manager and ethicist. Much of my adult work life has been in the water industry, and before that, in publishing. I have worked for a water wholesaler, water retailer, and served as a board member for a mutual water company as well as worked in local government. I have also worked as an editor and writer for a variety of publishing companies and publications.
Currently, I work on local and statewide water issues. I am an advisory committee member for the California Water Plan Update 2023 and chair an advisory committee of scientists on sustainable groundwater for a USDA grant to UC Davis and others. I have served on a stakeholder committee for the California Water Commission and an advisory committee for the State Water Resources Control Board. I am part of the Water Blueprint and San Joaquin Valley Collaborative Action Partnership, both organizations trying to work collaboratively to solutions to big water problems.
I also have a LinkedIn Profile for endless professional details. And other than rocks, plants, and water, I like geocaching, hiking, reading, writing, poetry, gardening, farmers, farming and farmers’ markets.
